Biography

Md. Refat Hossain has joined as Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science & Engineering under the faculty of Textile Chemical Engineering, Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) on May 17, 2022. Before joining at BUTEX, he worked as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Civil Engineering at North Western University, Khulna since May, 2019 to August, 2019. He also worked as Lecturer (Adjunct) in the Department of Civil Engineering at Faridpur Engineering College under University of Dhaka since December 2021 to May 2022. Mr. Hossain has excellent research experience on biomass conversion technology into biofuel production. He also worked on microalgae based wastewater treatment, sludge treatment, peat land management, shrimp waste-derived chitosan harvested microalgae. He published several research papers in Scopus indexed peer reviewed journals named “Journal of Cleaner Production”, “Fuel”, “Fuel Processing Technology”, Journal of Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis”. He is committed to advancing his knowledge in order to solve society's ever-changing engineering issues.
